Julie George – Director of Global Connections

In 2004, Julie George became the first director of Global Connections. She came to GC from Bowling Green State University, where she worked as an instructor in the ESL Program. She taught mostly graduate students in courses such as intermediate grammar and writing, advanced writing, advanced listening/speaking, and communication skills for ITAs. As well, she served as the acting director and assistant director of BGSU’s ESL Program. In addition to her teaching and administrative duties at BGSU, Julie served on the board of Global Connections since its formation and started and continues to teach the Community English Class, a free English class for any non-native English speaker in the Bowling Green area. When she’s not working, Julie enjoys reading, traveling, writing, cooking and hanging out with friends. Feel free to contact her at jgeorge@globalconnectionsbg.org if you need more information about Global Connections or if you would like to meet her for lunch.
