It’s break time at BGSU! While some are basking in the sunshine of some southern destination, a happy few will join with Global Connections and head to Amish Country tomorrow! A veteran tour guide will educate all on the the Amish Christian faith and way of life as they tour Holmes County, Ohio, eating lunch with Amish school children, visiting Amish businesses, and finally enjoying some home cooking at an Amish farmstead!

GC hosted its potluck event between Internationals and American GC volunteers this past weekend.  So much food!  It was a great time of wonderful ethnic and American dishes, friendship, entertainment and games.  An all male Chinese group performed an upbeat dance.  Other entertainment came by way of song by a female Tanzanian who inspired the audience to clap and sing with her.  We played Team Charades and finally were entertained again by an Indian team who then taught the audience some dance moves to the ending song from popular movie Slumdog Millionnaire.

Join us for an evening of fun food from a variety of cultures, fun connections between Internationals & Americans, and fun entertainment!

Time: 6:00 – 8:30 pm

Location: Dayspring Church (17360 N. Dixie Highway–by the Woodland Mall)

Transportation will be provided from BGSU’s Center for International Programs, south end of University Hall in Parking Lot A from 5:45 – 6:30 pm and after the Potluck.

Bring a dish of food (already prepared and enough for 10 people) from your culture for the Potluck.
